Pine needles have been medicinally used across the world for thousands of years, from Ancient Chinese Medicine and Native American treatment for respiratory illness. [81] They are a wonderful source of nutrition, including Vitamins A and C.

Dr. Judy Mikovits mentioned the Suramin as an antidote to Covid, which is the pharmaceutical version of Shikimate contained in Pine Needle tea. [82] I have heard many other reports of Pine needle tea working as a prophylactic and antidote to the Spike Protein from Covid and the serum. This is due to the Shikimic Acid inhibiting the Spike protein from binding to cell receptors. It also prevents coagulation and platelet aggregation in the blood which could otherwise cause the blood clots that lead to stroke and heart attack [80][81].

Contains

Shikimic Acid, Suramin, Vitamin C, Vitamin A

HOW TO USE

The best Pine to use medicinally is the Eastern White Pine, which forms clusters of five long green needles. [77] Watch the video below to help you choose the correct species!

Infusion

A 2011 Study demonstrated that simply extracting the pine needle extracts such as anti-oxidants are most effective with simple hot water – i.e. tea! [79] To do this simply boil 1 cup of water and add a handful of pine needles (with all brown ends and sheaths removed) for a few minutes. Some people like to chop the needles up or crush them to help release more oils. Steep it for 5 minutes. I prefer not to strain mine so it becomes stronger as I sip it – and I swirl it around in the cup to get all the nutritious pollen. Yum!

Food

The young green pine cones can be boiled and used as a vegetable in times of food shortage (i.e. they are edible but not so yummy) [77]

The inner section of the bark outside the darker wood, can be eaten raw, or dried and ground into flour. [77][78]

Topical

Pine sap is useful as an antibacterial to put on external wounds. [77]

ALERT

  • Do NOT use during pregnancy.
  • Commercial pine needle tea is generally made from the white pine Pinus Strobus. Some species of pine are toxic to humans, so either buy a reputable brand or make sure you know which species you are using if harvesting it yourself. Some of the toxic varieties include Ponderosa Pine, Balsam Fir, Lodgepole, and Monterey Pines. Also the English Yew, Norfolk Island pine, and the Yew pine are not actually pine trees so don’t use those!
