ABOUT

Bottle of nigella oil next to a pile of nigella seeds

Nigella, also known as Kalonji or Black Cumin, is a small black seed of an annual flowering low growing plant belonging to the buttercup family. This little black seed has quite a history. It was found in King Tut’s tomb, and Hippocrates used it to treat liver disease. [71]

It has been used as a culinary and medicinal herb around the world, and has been the subject of extensive scientific research to confirm its efficacy. Nigella is considered to be one of the most effective herbal healers in Islamic medicine, and in Arabic it is referred to as the seed of blessing, or ‘Habbatul Barakah.’ [69]

Heavy Metals

Its active constituent is Thymoquinone (TQ) and its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties are effective against environmental, agricultural, medical and food based toxins, notably heavy metals including Mercury.  Its ability to inhibit toxins also makes it useful in food products as a natural preservative. [68]

Pile of nigella seeds

A 2019 study into the use of Nigella as a protectant against heavy metal toxicity demonstrated a wide range of positive effects. [68] These included:

  • Cadmium (Cd): reduction from renal tissue.
  • Arsenic (As): Reduction in neurotoxicity, reduced kidney toxicity, reduced DNA damage.
  • Lead (Pb): Protect against DNA damage, reduce lesions.
  • Aluminum: Protection against cellular toxicity.
  • Mercury (Hg): Increase neuroprotection, reduce renal damage.
Covid

There have been myriad studies conducted relating to the use of Nigella for Covid treatment. A recent study in Saudi Arabia for the use of Nigella in patients doubled the recovery rate in relation to the control group. [65] A substance in Nigella called Nigellidine has been shown to bind to the spike protein, which prevents it from binding to the ACE2 receptor surfaces in the lungs, [67] and other human cells, preventing many adverse events occurring in Covid patients such as cell death and arterial cell issues. [70]

Nigellidine may also help reduce or prevent cytokine storms by docking to the proteins and inflammatory molecules, thereby regulating the overactive immune response that causes it. [67] Its ability to bind to Covid receptor sites is reportedly more effective than Hydroxychloroquine. [71]

Contains

Nigellidine, Thymoquinone, DiThymoquinone, Thymohydroquinone, Thymol

It has a distinct bitter taste, kind of like spicy oregano. It can be used raw or sprouted in salads and sandwiches, toasted and ground up for traditional Middle Eastern dishes, breads and cheeses, or simply added to your favorite stir fry or casserole. Please refer to the ‘Recipes’ section for ideas on how to use it at home.

1 Tbsp. of seeds or 2 capsules of oil are recommended in the morning as a prophylactic. Ensure it is organic and any oil is 100% pure.

VIDEOS

Here you will see the immediate effect of Nigella Seed oil on the blood. In the first sample you will see the red blood cells sticking together, showing signs of low oxygen levels, poor white blood cell formation, and debris in the plasma. Over the proceeding blood scans at 30 and 60 minutes, you can track the improvement in the quality of the red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma. This improvement in blood quality allows it to do its job of bringing oxygenation, nourishment and cleansing throughout the body.
