ABOUT

MY EXPERIENCE

I first found out about DMSO in relation to MMS, when I was reading Jim Humbles book on Healing with MMS. In that instance its quality as a carrier is utilized to transport MMS across the blood brain barrier to assist in heavy metal detox from the fatty tissues. [32] (Page 135) It looked very interesting to me but I stuck with the MMS on its own at the time.

A while later it was recommended by a friend as part of a nerve repair protocol, for external use on the back of the neck and inside of the arms. Although the protocol recommended veterinary DMSO gel, I ordered some 99.97% pure liquid from the UK. I put it on a cotton ball and applied it to my skin. Within minutes the room started spinning, I felt nauseous and faint, and ended up lying down for hours with a horrendous herxheimer reaction. So I thought I’d better educate myself on how to use it properly!

I jumped online and found a book called ‘Healing with DMSO’ by Amandha Vollmer. I virtually inhaled every word. Her book changed not only my ideas around healing substances, but engaging in her myriad resources on health has turned my ideas around biology totally upside down. (In a good way!) If you would like a deep dive into health, sovereignty, natural law, biology, and everything else in between, I highly recommend hanging out on her website – once you’ve finished reading this book of course!

WHAT IS IT FROM

DMSO is an organic liquid substance that comes from wood, and is actually a waste product from the production of paper. It was first discovered by Russian scientist Alexander Saytzeff in the 1866, with its medical properties starting to gain attention by researchers headed by Dr. Stanley Jacob in 1963. [33] Today it is mainly used as a natural and inexpensive solvent. It has a largely unpromoted yet widely studied range of benefits to human health, yet the FDA has only approved it to treat interstitial cystitis, [30] and to protect transplant organs from damage during storage and transportation. [28]

EFFECTS IN THE BODY

DMSO has many healing qualities when used intravenously, orally and topically. It is non-toxic, but safe use requires a decent working knowledge of its properties. As an anti-inflammatory it is helpful for pain, and turns off unnecessary pain signals to the brain by blocking nerve conduction fibers. [28][31][33]

DMSO is cytoprotective, meaning it protects cells against damage caused by freezing and thawing. For this reason it is utilized in hospitals for organ transplant. [28][31] Additionally it heals cells that have been damaged by radiation. [31]

SOLVENT

Being a solvent it breaks down deposits such as arthritis, blood clots, and cancerous tumors, while increasing circulation and flow in the body. [28] In the blood it reduces platelet thrombi and therefor platelet stickiness, while at the same time dilating blood vessels therefore reducing the possibility of blood clots, improving blood supply and increasing oxygen. [31][33] This is especially useful in the current times regarding the high instance of blood clots, strokes and heart attacks being reported as a result of the inoculation.

CARRIER

It has an unusual ability to carry pharmaceuticals and nutrients into the skin, across membranes, and penetrates the blood brain barrier. At the same time it increases the permeability of cells. [28] This has the added benefit of a lower dose required, therefore reducing any potential side effects of the medicine. [31][33] Its effectiveness as a carrier is so good it can assist the body to absorb nutrients, either as an additive to organic food and supplements, or combined with supplements and used on the skin in the case of severe digestive disorders. [28]

DETOXIFICATION

The most important quality for the purposes of this book is in detoxification. DMSO is high in sulfur so is an effective binder with mercury, lead, aluminum, cadmium, arsenic and nickel. [33] Combined with MMS it can penetrate deep into the dark corners of the body to mobilize and bind heavy metals and other harmful substances. If you would like to use it with MMS to tackle heavy metal and other toxicity issues, please follow the vaccine procedure from  Jim Humbles as outline here:  Jim Humble Vaccination Detox Protocol: www.awakeneduk.wordpress.com

OYSTERS ANYONE?

A curious side effect of using DMSO, is due to the high Sulfur content. It causes an odd taste in the mouth within minutes or sometimes seconds of using it – even when it’s on the skin! This taste can be similar to seafood, oysters or garlic depending on how it reacts to your body chemistry.

It can also give you an unpleasant body odor, so if you are doing a cleanse with it, just be aware of this! It is this property that has caused a lack of double-blind experiments as there can be no control or placebo group as nothing else causes this! [33]

BENEFITS

In a 60 minutes episode from the 1980s with Dr. Stanley Jacob, its use for spinal cord injuries, arthritis, burns, tennis elbow, baldness and more was reported. At the time he treated patients from his clinic in Oregon. Some of his patients reported dramatic results from his DMSO treatment, such as reduced swelling from brain and spinal cord damage, chronic pain from arthritis, athletic injuries, blisters and cuts.

Jacob stated that it blocks some nerve conduction, reduces inflammation and improves blood supply, leading to the increased healing capacity from treatment. [26]

A 1985 study by Stanley Jacob and Robert Herschler stated that various documented effects of DMSO included membrane penetration, anti-inflammation, nerve blockade, vasodilation, antagonism to platelet aggregation, radioprotection and cryoptotection. [29]

Health clinics such as the Environmental Health Center Dallas include DMSO as one of their chelating agents for heavy metal toxicity, along with DMSA, DMSP, and ETDA.

DMSO has also demonstrated to be effective in breaking up many forms of build ups, such as excess proteins in amyloidosis, and hardened skin of scleroderma, and as a dermal application for arthritis and connective tissue pain relief. [30]

A study on the Radioprotective effects of DMSO showed that it is effective in low doses (0.5%) to facilitate the repair of breaks in the double strands of DNA after damage from radiation. [27]

HOW TO USE

INTERNAL

Dosing varies greatly, as does the percentage of DMSO in solution, depending on what you are using it for.

A standard dose for internal use for detoxification is one teaspoon of 70% solution once a week. If you are heavily toxic you may have severe herxheimer reaction so go gently. You might like to start with 1/2 tsp. of 50% solution and gradually titrate up. I have a reaction to even a few drops in fresh orange juice, so it’s best to start with very small doses.

EXTERNAL

Apply a solution of 10% up to 70% maximum on the skin (use a weaker dilution for sensitive skin). If you are diluting it yourself, use distilled water or organic Aloe Vera gel to mix it. Wipe on clean skin with an organic natural fiber such as a cotton swab and allow to dry for 20 to 30 minutes before wiping off excess.

ALERT

  • DMSO is a carrier, but it doesn’t discriminate on what it will carry through your skin. So if you are handling and using it externally, you must ensure your skin and nails are very clean, using organic soap, as anything on the outside will be carried to the inside. This includes nail polish as it is a solvent.
  • If using topically allow DMSO to dry for 20 minutes before covering with clothing. Be very aware that if you apply it to your skin, then put clothing over the top, synthetics, fabric treatments and so on may be dissolved and carried into the skin, so stick to natural fibers.
  • Any tools you use such as bottles, droppers, cotton swabs etc. must be clean and natural. Plastic brushes and some plastic bottles will be partially dissolved by DMSO so you don’t want that in or on your body.
  • If you are highly toxic, DMSO can cause a severe herxheimer reaction. If this is the case you may need to do a 13 or 21 day MMS cleanse first to eliminate some of your toxic load before going deeper with this remedy.
  • If you are taking chemical drugs, pharmaceuticals, alcohol, coffee, processed food, or smoking, it’s best to wait until you have cleared the body of these substances before using DMSO, as it can carry those toxins deeper into the body.
  • Do NOT use DMSO in an enema, as it will carry pathogens from the colon into the blood stream.
  • If using topical, apply but DO NOT RUB it in, or it will cause itchiness and possibly pain for a while, especially if used neat which is NOT recommended.
